A beginner level introduction to spirits for those starting a career in the industry or pursuing an interest in SPIRITS.
For individuals new to the subject, this qualification offers a hands-on introduction to the world of spirits. You’ll explore the main styles and types of spirits through sight, smell, and taste to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas.
The assessment is a short exam of 30 multiple choice questions.
Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
The Wine Academy offers a range of Wine & Spirit Education Trust® Qualifications through our education partner Peter Morris Wilson who is a WSET® Approved Programme Provider & Certified Educator. Peter received global recognition by being one of only 8 shortlisted for “WSET Educator of the Year 2015”.
This is a one day course and will take place between 10am – 6pm and will include theory, tasting and the WSET exam. (Sandwiches, Tea & Coffee will be provided)
WSET Level 1 – Spirits costs £135 per student (this includes a £60 non refundable deposit if you cancel within 2 weeks of the course)
