Domaine de Cristia is situated in Courthézon in the Rhône Valley and has been run by the same family since 1942. Its name comes from a vineyard site within the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation which adjoins lieu-dit Rayas. The domaine is 50 acres and produces Vin de Pays, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Châteauneuf du Pape rouge and 2.5 acres of Châteauneuf du Pape blanc and another 2.5 acre plot of 100 year old vines in the Cristia lieu-dit (which produces the “Renaissance” cuvée).

“95/100. Dark and winey, with delicious waves of cassis, raspberry paste and plum puree coursing through, laced with licorice and tar notes that help extend the finish. Late flashes of singed anise, bitters and wood spice add an alluring echo. Best from 2023 through 2038.”
