Description

Situated between the Rock of Solutré in Mâconnais and Moulin-à-Vent in Beaujolais, the Maison Jean Loron is one of the oldest and largest vineyard owners in the south of Burgundy. Its wine-growing history dates back to 1711. The Bourgogne region is where the Aligoté grape flourishes best. Of the 2,000 hectares planted in France, more than 1,800 are in the Bourgogne winegrowing region, from the Chablis region to the Mâconnais.

The Aligoté grape is found on limestone soils, often combined with marl or clay.

This is a wine with a light green gold colour, revealing flowers and fern aromas.

It is typically a wine to drink for the aperitif, with blackcurrant cream, so as to make the famous “kir”.  It is also delicious on it’s own and matches perfectly well seafood and goat cheese.

Serving temperature from 12 to 14 °C
