Chateau Les Charmes Godard 2021

Grapes: 65% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Sauvignon Gris

A dry white wine that has proven its ability to age and compete with the great white Bordeaux wines. The core of the blend is made up of old vines, over 70 years old. Year after year, the young Sémillons of Laclaverie assert themselves and naturally take their place. The pre-dominance of Semillon as well as the vinification techniques (fermentation in barrels, maturing on lees) give the wine vivacity and roundness.

90-92 “(…) Naturally, the Sémillon is in full control of the nose with yellow plum, hints of lemongrass and a light resin/lanolin scent. The palate is well balanced with a crisp entry, quite tensile and focused, now the Sémillon taking a backseat though that will come through with bottle age.
