Region: Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, France
Owned by the Lafaye family, situated near the village of Saint Pey d’Armens, this 12 Hectare vineyard plot has mature 35-40 year old vines. Hand harvested, fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak this Grand Cru displays exotic plum and ripe blackberry fruit. Sweet juicy tannins, spicy cinnamon, cedar oak and a lively acidity complete the picture.
“90/100. A spicy, wood-aged wine with layers of Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc. The wine is rich, still young with firm tannins and smoky acidity.” (Wine Enthusiast, Sept 2023)
