Pássaros Alvarinho Loureiro 2019, DOC Vinho Verde
Grapes: Alvarinho & Loureiro

“Feeling solid in the mid-palate, this shows good acidity to support the fruit and the fine, lingering finish that I expect. Delicious, but serious and beautifully structured (…) The overall quality is consistent and high. This is a style with some solidity and power.” Mark Squires (Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate)

Muros Antigos Loureiro 2019, DOC Vinho Verde

White wine from the Loureiro grape variety, grown in the River Lima Valley. Strong climatic influence from the Atlantic.
Intense citrus and floral aromas. This is a fresh wine with a dry and fruity finish.

Robert Parker: 90 Points
“The 2019 Loureiro Muros Antigos Escolha (…) comes in with 1.5 grams of residual sugar, 6.7 grams of total acidity and 12% alcohol. Continuing a trend, this seems just a bit fresher and crisper than last year’s version. The grapes are all sourced from the Lima Valley, the area most famed for Loureiro.” Mark Squires (Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate)

Muros Antigos Alvarinho 2019, DOC Vinho Verde
Grapes: 100% Alvarinho
White wine from the Alvarinho grape variety, grown exclusively in Monção and Melgaço. It originates in vineyards on sunny hillsides with poor granite soils.
The wine is very mineral, with a good structure and body while maintaining freshness.
Long finish with the citrus and slightly tropical notes of the Alvarinho variety.

Robert Parker: 90 Points

Wine Enthusiast: 92 Points

“Sourced mostly from Melgaço, higher altitudes and sandy soils, this is a somewhat nervier version of the 2018. There is plenty of power, but the fruit is not quite as expressive. The mid-palate is average in concentration. It is impressive, though, how this grips the palate. The long and juicy finish is exceptional for the level. (…) It shows the ability to develop and hold as well.” Mark Squires (Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate)
