Five generations of Massas have laboured tirelessly to keep the Timorasso flame alight. Here on the steep hills just east of Tortona grow the last few hectares of Timorasso in the world. An ancient variety with tiny yields and immense concentration.
Pale gold color. Very complex nose of white flowers, ground ginger, beeswax, and apple pie. The body is big and warm with a serious structure, but still maintains a “nervy”, minerally acidity. Finishes with long pear notes. This will definitely improve with time.
