The case includes 5 bottles of wine & 1 bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
1 bottle each of:
Romeo & Juliet Prosecco Spumante Treviso N.V.
The romantically inspiring city of Verona is where this producer Pasqua was founded in 1925. It also provides the backdrop for Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. This Prosecco is an homage to that love story. Lightly aromatic, easy-drinking with a soft mousse and an off-dry feel. Gentle flavours of pear, clementine and white apple are lifted by soft acidity.
Walt Riesling 2016
From the region of Pfalz, just over the border from Alsace. Shares a similar spicy touch. Lovely pear, white peach & refreshing apple crispness with the natural tension of Riesling. Elegant & off-dry.
A perfect partner to Asian cuisine, salads & seafoods.
Domaine Pierre Usseglio Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2014
Grapes: 70% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Cinsault
The land on which the vines are grown allows the production of high quality ‘Côtes du Rhone’. This superb wine shows delicious red berry fruit with great texture and flavour.
Albret La Viña de mi Madre 2007
Grapes: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot
Expressive and powerful nose with a wide array of aromas, especially black fruit jam, blackberries and cassis and hints of plums and dry figs. Subtle and complex aromas of vanilla, liquor chocolate and tobacco from the barrel ageing. This red has plenty of fruit flavours and a perfectly integrated wood, making this a complex, balanced and attractive wine. The sweet tannins add the ripe character. It has an elegant and lingering aftertaste.
Oremus Late Harvest Furmint 2013 (50cl)
From the Hungarian vineyards that belong to the historic and almost deified wine estate that is Vega Sicilia. Made from overripe grapes and 40% of aszú grapes (noble rot). Aged in barrels almost half a year before bottling. Aromas are of honey and dried apricot. Intense palate with great acidity and lovely, opulent fruit. It has terrific balance and great length.
Planeta Extra Virgin Olive Oil (50cl)
The Planeta olive grove extends for 98 hectares in the Capparrina district, a natural oasis of great beauty, and sloping towards the sea. The varieties of olive cultivated at Capparrina are those of local tradition; Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla and Cerasuola.
Aromas of green cape gooseberry, green and ripe tomato, white peppercorns, sweet basil and celery. Tastes of tomato, bitter greens, rocket and raw globe artichoke and nuts on the finish. A late taste of green peas. Balanced, complex and harmonious.
