La Réserve de Picque Caillou 2016
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot
A close neighbour of the prestigious Haut-Brion and Pape Clément châteaux, this 21-hectare vineyard carries a name indicative of its pebbly soils that originated from sediments deposited by the nearby Garonne River over thousands of years.
The second wine of Château Picque Caillou, it has aromas & flavours of red & black fruits & vanilla. This is an elegant wine with silky tannins, good complexity, minerality & a long finish.
