Henri Abelé is one of Champagne’s oldest Houses founded in 1757.
It was served onboard the Titanic which left Belfast on the 2nd April 1912. Interestedly, marine archaeologists have recovered over 7000 artefacts from the wreckage of the ship including a bottle of Henri Abelé Champagne.
A big, plush, yeasty nose sends sweet notes of cracker and toast above lime and mineral; the flavours that follow are forward, round and rich. Hints of mango and papaya fruit lead into a sensuous, lightly spicy, thoroughly satisfying finish.
