100% Chenin Blanc
The very talented winemaker Bernard Fouquet is a very lucky man as he has 26 hectares of Chenin Blanc vineyards planted on the best soils in Vouvray (clay/limestone) – Le Marigny, Le Bouchet, Le Plan de Jean and Le Clos de l’Auberdière. He works with a lutte raisonnee philosophy, which they like to think of as the thinking man’s answer to organic, using treatments only when necessary. Bernard is a great believer in terroir and with these wonderful flinty soils, his wine Cuvée de Silex exhibits good mineral character as well as the honeyed fruit that is characteristic of Chenin Blanc.
This is a beautiful aromatic expression of Chenin Blanc.
