A Taste of Chardonnay (6 bottle Case)
1 bottle each of:
Holy Snail Chardonnay, Loire, France
Golden delicious apple, peach, lemon and notes. Medium bodied. Refreshing yet luscious. Great balance.
Albret El Alba Chardonnay, Navarra, Spain
Aged in 100 % French oak barrels for six months on its own fine lees with regular bâttonages. Intense fruit aromas of ripe apricot, pineapple and lime, delicately complemented with elegant floral notes. The hints of vanilla from the barrel ageing round off an interesting and complex bouquet. The fruit is evident and well-integrated with the oak from the barrel ageing, making it a round and very pleasant wine.
Vins Auvigue Macon-Solutre, Burgundy, France
Maison Auvigue are long-established award winning winemakers in the Mâconnais & own several exceptional vineyards around the famous rock of Solutré. This Mâcon-Solutré is creamy & round with ripe orchard fruit, balanced by an elegant freshness. Unoaked.
Currabridge unoaked Chardonnay, South Eastern Australia
Ripe varietal fruit on the nose consisting of white peach and melon aromas. The palate is full of punchy citrus and melon flavours which have a fresh and lingering finish.
Hunter’s Chardonnay, Marlborough, New Zealand
The wine has beautiful stone-fruit and ripe pear characters on the nose with some citrus undertones. The palate shows a tight mid-palate with flinty characters that lead into a complex and juicy finish. Good balance from the toasty oak character that compliments the fruity structure.
La Linda Chardonnay, Mendoza, Argentina
Unoaked is a white of bright yellow colour and golden and greenish highlights, with balanced aromas, distinctive fruity touches reminiscent of apples and pears. It is fresh and refreshing on the palate, as well as voluptuous and balanced. It is a full-bodied wine with character, robust in the mouth; expressive, strong, with a nice and persistent finish.
