This one day Wine course has global appeal for consumers wishing to enhance their wine knowledge and is of particular benefit to the hospitality and retail sector. The course also includes an interactive practical session on the subject of wine and food pairing where key wines are shown with specific foods.
The 2013-2014 syllabus covers the process of grape growing and winemaking; explaining how these variables influence the final appearance and flavour of the bottled product. Various ‘Still’ and ‘Sparkling’ wines are examined using the WSET® Systematic Approach to Tasting, including those produced from the following grapes:
The Qualification is awarded to students who attain a minimum mark of 70% in the 45 minute examination consisting of 30 multi-choice questions.
The Wine Academy offers a range of Wine & Spirit Education Trust® Qualifications through our education partner Peter Morris Wilson who is a WSET® Approved Programme Provider & Certified Educator. These are open to all our retail and trade customers.
