| Delivery Conditions
DWS guarantees the quality of the wines available on this website. We only deal with reputable small and large growers.
If you have any comments or queries regarding the quality of our products, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Availability
We will endeavour to supply all wines shown in mixed case selections. If for any reason we are unable to supply a certain wine from a mixed case we will substitute with a wine of similar style and of equal or greater value. The case price will remain the same.
Delivery
Wines will normally be delivered between 9am and 5pm Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays). Please allow 5 working days from receipt of order. (orders in December may take longer)
If you need the wine for a specific date please let us know. Please let us know if there is somewhere we can leave the case if there is no one at home. If the wine is a gift don’t forget to add a gift message.
Delivery Charges
We offer free delivery (for mixed cases of twelve bottles or more) throughout Northern Ireland. Smaller parcels will incur a £6.95 delivery charge. For UK delivery please email us with your requirements for a quotation. shop@directwine.co.uk
Collection
You can collect your order from the Direct Wine Shipments shop. Please allow at least one working day for us to process your order. We recommend phoning us on 028 9050 8000 to confirm your order is ready before you come to collect it.
Damaged Goods
Should a wine be damaged in delivery we will gladly offer a replacement.
Notification can be by telephone, post, fax, or email within three working days of delivery.
Incorrect Goods Delivered
In the unlikely event of this happening we offer a refund or replacement of the incorrect goods, on return of the bottle(s) in question.
Notification must be given to us within 3 working days of delivery.
Payments
We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and Switch. Payment can be accepted either online (via SSL secure encrypted payment system) or by fax or phone.
Prices
Prices are quoted in £ Sterling and include duty, and VAT at standard UK rate.
(The exception is En Primeur wines, were delivery, duty and VAT are paid at a later date)
En Primeur
Payment one – due on date of order, secures stocks of your chosen wines. A receipt detailing payment of wines selected will be issued by return.
Payment two - due upon arrival of your wines at DWS (Spring/Summer 3 years from the vintage on offer). You will receive notification at this time. This payment includes duty, insurance and shipping per case & VAT for payment one & two (currently 17.5%).
DWS Guarantee DWS has successfully trading for over 50 years and selling En Primeur for 30 years. DWS associates exclusively with long established and reputable négociants. All wines are fully insured and stocks are clearly identified at DWS. Please note that some wines are only available in small quantities and are sold on a “first come first served basis”.
Gift Vouchers
DWS Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged in return for monies, only against DWS products and services. The vouchers can only be used in the Direct Wine Shipments shop and cannot be redeemed online.
Public Tastings & Wine Courses
Once booked, we are unable to offer refunds. However, DWS will issue a credit note which can be redeemed against any DWS products or services within a three month period.
